Shannon Mulvey
I am a performer, lecturer, and Assistant Head of Acting with extensive national and international experience. As the founding member and Artistic Director of the intersectional feminist performance collective, Sisters of Eden, I have led our work to critical acclaim. Our show, Volume I: Blood, achieved a sell-out run at Camden People’s Theatre and won the Best Show award at Wandsworth Fringe in 2017. Our second show, Curated Pleasure, was awarded “Most Popular Show at the Fringe” at the Sprungturm Festival in Germany in 2019.
As a solo artist, I have performed with the international performance collective FC Bergman at the Barbican Theatre, with Trapdoor Theatre in Chicago, Gardzienice Theatre in Poland, the Almeida Theatre and Emergency 24 Festival. My television credits include appearances on BBC, ITV and Channel 5.
My work explores the autobiographical and the politics of identity through the lens of contemporary culture. I have taught in diverse settings, including Theatre Deli, AntiUniversity, The Crypt Gallery, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, Goldsmiths University, and Regent’s University.
Inclusivity, accessibility, and intersectionality are at the core of my practice.
